A new small series featuring striking handle scales made from vividly grained juniper burl and blue resin (epoxy resin). Each knife is a unique piece. The AMICU Corse is another knife originating from Corsica, alongside the Corsican Vendetta. It is also known as the U Cursina. For a long time, the AMICU was a trusty companion to shepherds in the harsh mountain climate of Corsica. It was ideally suited for both hunting and a quick snack. The knife has wide handle scales and sits comfortably in the hand thanks to its round, sturdy grip. The blade, made from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, is relatively wide, short and strong. The steel used retains its edge well and is easy to sharpen. The AMICU has a stiff back spring. Despite the wide blade, it still opens easily. The AMICU stands out from the otherwise rather delicate range of French knives. All AU SABOT models are crafted using time-honoured techniques, whilst constantly incorporating modern methods. The handmade knives in our range are simple, traditional French pocket knives that do not seek to compete with high-end products. steel: 12C27 sandvik stainless steelblade : 8,5 cmscales: juniper full and epoxy resin handleblade width: 30 mmknife opened: 17,5 cm weight: 125 g no lock100% made in France

The Sauveterre knife was designed by Henri Viallon from a model of a knife from the Aveyron region of the nineteenth century. The distinctive feature of this knife is a leaf-shaped blade reminiscent of a sage leaf and a sage leaf on the nib. The handle of this elegant knife is made of traditional ram horn. The taut back spring is forged. It ends in a guilloche sage leaf. The plates are also handcarved. The blade is made of DSC® carbon damascus steel (not stainless). For easier opening of the knife, the blade is equipped with a nail cut. The Sauveterre, bears the name of a village in Aveyron where the forge is located. Founded around 1241, Sauveterre de Rouergue, a medieval village considered one of the most beautiful villages in France, is a beautiful 13th century bastide built around the "Place des Arcades". Guy Vialis was the founder of the SAUVETERRE brand. After his death, Chrsitian Valat is now the current owner of the small "SAUVETERRE" forge. Monsieur Valat is also the owner of the world-famous Laguiole en Aubrac forge. scales: ram horn 11 cmchiseled resort blade damascus carbon steel, not stainless 90 mmknife opened 205 mmweight: 86 gram 100% made in France
