Exclusive 12 cm Laguiole knife with handle scales made of valuable smooth polished dark brown mammoth ivory crust, made with a hand-polished double plate - equipped with a hand-forged Damascus blade
The ivory used here is the outer part of the mammoth tusk. The shepherd's cross is omitted, as the filigree handle material could crack. The back spring was guilloched to form a spiral, and the plates were decorated to match. The line damascus blade, forged in Laguiole en Aubrac's own forge, is the finishing touch and certainly the icing on the cake.
Only a few manufacturers still produce their own blades. The steel is easy to sharpen and retains its edge. The non-stainless blade can be maintained with commercially available oil.Mitres and liners are highly polished.

VÉZELAY handmade linerlock knife - hand-forged mosaic damask bolsters - hand-forged mosaic damask blade.
Phiippe Soeuvre has dedicated himself to damask forging. He has worked full-time as a damask and artisan blacksmith for more than 15 years. He lives and works in Quarré-les-Tombes in France. Philippe completed several apprenticeships and received various awards for his work. He tries to revive ancient knowledge. He uses only iron, steel and pure nickel for his damask blades.
The handle scales of this aesthetic gentleman's knife are made of FAT carbon. This highly technical handle material has an extremely pleasant feel and very attractive appearance. The hand-flattering material merges into beautiful mosaic damaskus bolsters. They form a perfect unit with the blade, which is also made of mosaic damaskus. The resort of the Vézelay is guilloché by hand. The plates are decorated to match this pattern. The inner resort is also decorated and engraved with PH.SOUEVRE.
A leather case is included in the delivery.
New Collection - PRIMITIVE Collection - Reindeer Bone
The idea of finding the first tool, like the flint, has always fascinated Manu Laplace. This thought inspired him to create his latest collection.
The handle made of reindeer bone reflects the irregular look of a flint stone. This elaborate treatment is also found on the backspacer and the back of the blade - the Ur-knife is here!
Manu Laplace designed the blade in an elaborate etching process. It is made of 14C28N steel and is stainless. The inside of the spacer is decorated with a picture story.
The 1515 model feels great in the hand. It has an impressive quality feel and is perfectly finished in all areas. The linerlock works precisely. Haptically and visually, every 1515 is a delight.
You will receive the model shown.
