The manufacture of Giovanni Nista, alias "Nino", was founded in 1990 and specialises in the revival of three traditional Italian knives. He learnt the basics of blacksmithing from Odorico Lucantoni, the creator of the famous "Pescatore" knife for fishermen on the Adriatic. Although Nino designs his own models, he continues to concentrate on producing regional knives such as the Romano and the Siciliani in order to preserve the traditional shapes. The forge is located in San Benedetto del Tronto in the Marche region and presents handmade unique pieces in the salesroom and workshop. Nino guarantees the perfection of every knife by selecting high-quality materials and making them entirely by hand.

Nino Nista is a small family manufacture in the middel of Italy, The Pescatore is the classic knife of the Adriatic fishermen. It was designed by Odorico Lucantoni, although the shape can also be traced back to very old fishing knives. It is classically made of horn tip and decorated with wide back feather. The Slipjoint holds the blade firmly in place and is nevertheless pleasantly soft to close. The blade is made of X20 CR13 stainless steel. The scales are made from real horntip. Naturally the color is different.
