Benjamin Laraud came to Thiers in 2014 to learn how to make knives from scratch. After working for GDD and Fontenille Pataud, he developed the desire to realise his own ideas - by hand, from the heart. In 2023, he founded Laraud Blades. His first model: the L'Oegopsyde - slim, elegant, with clear lines. The name? A small homage: it is reminiscent of an octopus in motion - light, flowing, alive. Today, the Oegopsyde is more than just a knife - it is the beginning of a signature style. And the start of everything that is yet to come.
