Roland LANNIER folding knife Why so serious? G10 white and bamboo

Modern design meets functionality – a gentleman’s knife by Roland Lannier
The inspiration for this exceptional folding knife comes from contemporary furniture design. Roland Lannier set out to reinterpret the concept of elegance and value—without relying on traditional, rare, or environmentally harmful materials.
He chose a modern composite of fiberglass and acrylic resin for the handle scales. Paired with a natural bamboo backspacer, the result is a refined interplay of contrast and harmony—between the synthetic and the organic, modernity and nature.
For the blade, Roland Lannier uses high-quality, edge-retaining 14C28N Sandvik steel. This stainless steel is cryogenically treated and hardened to approximately 60 HRC. The blade is finely hand-sharpened and finished with a matte surface. It locks securely via a precise linerlock mechanism.
With this elegant gentleman’s knife, Roland Lannier wants to inspire people to take a perfectly sharp cutting tool to the restaurant. Because a clean, precise cut—whether through meat, fish, or vegetables—significantly enhances the culinary experience.
