Marie Taillardat Le 1925 fossil steller's seecow bone VG 10 Suminagashi damascus
Le 1925 – The debut creation of master bladesmith Marie Taillerdat from Thiers, crafted in homage to her grandfather.
This slim, fully handcrafted slipjoint knife sits beautifully in the hand and impresses with its timeless, elegant design.
The perfectly centered blade is made from 67-layer Suminagashi VG-10 stainless Damascus steel, allowing for an extremely fine and sharp edge thanks to its carbon core. The blade action is smooth and well-balanced.
The liners and backspring are mat finished, with fine guilloché detailing toward the front. Overall, the Le 1925 is flawlessly crafted and beautifully refined.

Coutellerie Marie Taillardat
Marie Tailerdat - cutler in Thiers
In 2013, Marie Taillardat began an apprenticeship at the renowned Atelier Perceval forge. The talented young woman was soon given the responsibility of producing chef's knives, sommliers and pocket knives. After a few years, she decided to set up her own business and founded her own company, Coutellerie Marie Taillardat, in March 2020 at the age of 29. Her first work is the 1925 model, a tribute to her grandfather, who shaped Marie's life. Marie now produces the 1925 BB, the smaller version of her first piece.
