The "Liadou" is the traditional knife used by winegrowers in the Marcillac winegrowing region in south-west France. Nicolas Julvé founded the company Le Liadou du Vallon in autumn 2016, based in 12330 Salles-la-Source, near Rodez, in the Occitanie region, in the department of Aveyron. Liadou du Vallon® is registered in the local register of the AOC Marcillac winegrowers' association and is produced exclusively in Aveyron. It is handcrafted in the same quality and design as the original model.
