Coltelleria Saladini, based in Scarperia, handcrafts not only pocket knives but also exquisite table cutlery.
The elegantly shaped steak knives feature a solidly crafted handle made from oak that has been used for wine barrels. The tannins in the red wine have given the barrels their characteristic colour, whilst the exterior retains its natural oak hue. At the end of the handle is a stainless steel plaque, which lends this fine steak knife a particularly elegant touch and provides space for a personalised engraving.
The knife is well-balanced, sits superbly in the hand and cuts perfectly. The finish of the extremely finely and sharply ground blade is matt. After all, it is not only the method of preparation but also the cut itself that ensures perfect enjoyment.
The steak knives must only be washed by hand.

SALADINI
Saladini is based in Scarperia, a small town in Tuscany about 20 kilometres from Florence. Its landmark is the Palazzo Pretorio in Scarperia, with its striking tower.
Scarperia was founded on 8 September 1306 and its special feature is the old tradition of knife making, or rather ‘cutting iron’, as these objects used to be called in the old days.
Saladini wants to preserve this ancient tradition of handcrafting pocket knives, cutlery and chef's knives. Everything is made with the care and attention that objects created with love and dedication deserve.
