OPINEL Messer N°08 Bruno CHAPERON

Description

Bruno Chaperon has been working as a cabinetmaker for over 35 years, designing knives and other objects featuring intricate inlays of precious woods. Following the development and patenting of a special joining technique for curved shapes, he collaborated with Opinel to create a distinctive range of knives. The organic lines and ethnically inspired inlays make each piece unique.

The handles are made from selected woods such as wenge, rosewood, walnut and ash, complemented by veneers of maple or American walnut. Wenge provides a striking dark texture, rosewood offers warm tones, walnut adds depth and contrast, and ash brings brightness and a particularly beautiful emphasis to the inlays.

Fitted with an 8.5 cm blade made of stainless, polished steel, the knife is durable and easy to resharpen. The robust, hand-polished handle sits comfortably in the hand. The tried-and-tested Virobloc® system with a rotating safety ring allows the blade to be locked quickly and securely.
