Excellently crafted singlestep THIERS sommelier knife PAULÉE from the CHAMBRIARD forge based in Thiers, the knife capital of France. The beautifully shaped, slender waiter's knife is 100% handcrafted in Thiers.
It fits perfectly in the hand. With just one stroke, even a long cork can be perfectly pulled out of the bottle. The spiral with core (denotes the inner space between the spiral) distributes the pulling force evenly and thus prevents the cork from breaking. The leverage is optimally balanced and makes it easier to pull out.
The handle scales were made of serpent wood. The sommelier's resort has been guilloched by hand. A handmade leather case is included in the delivery.
"La Paulée" is a friendly event at the end of the harvest. All the winegrowers of a town meet here and bring their best wine to enjoy with the others over a meal. This tradition is particularly popular in Burgundy. The Thiers "Paulée" waiter's knife from Maison Chambriard is a homage to the work of the winegrowers and the knifemakers at the same time!
