le Vault de lugny - handmade linerlock knife - hand-forged mosaic damask bolsters - hand-forged mosaic damask blade.
Philippe Soeuvre has dedicated himself to damask forging. He has been working full-time as a damask and artisan blacksmith for more than 15 years. He lives and works in Quarré-les-Tombes in France. Philippe completed several apprenticeships and received various awards for his work. He tries to revive ancient knowledge. He uses only iron, steel and pure nickel for his damask blades.
The handle scales of this aesthetic gentleman's knife are made of reconstructed turquoise stone. This handle material has an extremely pleasant feel and very attractive appearance. The material merges into beautiful mosaic damaskus bolsters. They form a perfect unit with the blade, which is also made of mosaic damaskus. The master smith treats the damaskus with heat, which gives it this dreamlike appearance. The resort of le Vault de lugny is guilloché by hand. The plates are decorated to match this pattern. The inner resort is also decorated and engraved with PH.SOUEVRE.
A leather case is included in the delivery.
